Attributes
Attribute statement pattern rules.
Attribute statements describe an entity by attaching values to named properties. In this pattern, the property names the property and the object carries its value. The object is used as a value, not as a peer entity in a relationship.
- SHOULD use this pattern when the goal of the statement is to describe an entity by attaching a value to a named property.
Attribute Statement Parts
Subject: The entity being described.
Property: The property term that defines what is being said about the subject.
Object: The value of that property.
Examples
Attribute statements can describe names, dates, labels, measurements, and other values carried by an entity.

Use Attributes when the object functions as the value of a property.
Person | schema:name | "Alice"Use Links when the object is another entity being related as an entity.
Person | schema:affiliation | OrganizationFor temporal attributes, see Temporal Modeling for when time belongs on the entity versus on the statement itself.
